Arnulfo Maldonado is a New York City based set and costume designer. 

Notable design credits include the world premieres of Michael R. Jackson's A Strange Loop (Playwrights Horizons), Clare Barron's Dance Nation (Playwrights Horizons), Jocelyn Bioh's School Girls, Or; The African Mean Girls Play (MCC Theater), Robert Askins' The Carpenter​ (Alley Theater), Jaclyn Backhaus' Men On Boats (Clubbed Thumb/Playwrights Horizons), and Jenny Schwartz/Todd Almond's IOWA (Playwrights Horizons); the NY premieres of Philip Dawkins' Charm​ (MCC Theater), Christopher Chen's Caught (The Play Company); and George Brant's Grounded​ (Page 73); the U.S. premiere of debbie tucker green's generations (Soho Rep); the regional premieres of Paula Vogel's Indecent (Guthrie Theater), Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' An Octoroon​ (Berkeley Rep), and Lucas Hnath's Hillary and Clinton​ (Philadelphia Theatre Company); the international tour of The Magnetic Fields' 50 Song Memoir.

Arnulfo is a Clubbed Thumb Affiliated Artist. Credits include Ethan Lipton's Luther, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, Jenny Schwartz's 41-derful, directed by Schwartz, Men on Boats, written by Jaclyn Backhaus, directed by Will Davis and Ari Stess' The World My Mama Raised, directed by Kip Fagan.

In addition, Arnulfo served as a Resident Scenic Designer of the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.

He has exhibited at the Prague Quadrennial, the international exhibition of scenography and theatre architecture.  Arnulfo is a Henry Hewes Design nominee, the recipient of a Princess Grace Theater Fellowship (Faberge Theater Award) and a graduate of NYU Tisch’s Department of Design for Stage and Film.
